I am Yanxiao and joined the lab in Fall 2017. My work and academic experiences relate to the integrated field of building technology and engineering, such as sustainable construction and building energy performance.  My research work now focuses on human-building interaction which mainly investigates the influence of built environment on the occupant comfort in the dimension of thermal and visual. I have been studying the application of sensing technologies for buildings to collect the data related to temperature, heat flux, and lighting to facilitate the building of intelligent automation through data processing.

I come from China and Chinese food is my favorite. I like gathering together and talking with friends on the weekends and cooking some good Chinese food to share with them. I go to the gym a lot and love Zumba.
